About the Blade
The product, the patent, and what makes it different.
The D.E.B is the only reciprocating blade with a universal Sawzall tang on BOTH ends of the blade. When one section of teeth dulls from cutting, you pull the blade, rotate it 180° horizontally, and lock the opposite tang into your saw. A different, unused section of teeth is now in the cutting zone — effectively doubling the cutting life per blade. It's the only patented Duel Edge reciprocating blade on the market.
Yes. Moore Above Avg LLC owns a U.S. patent covering the Duel Edge dual-tang reciprocating blade design. The patent protects both the symmetrical body and the flip-to-reuse workflow, so this isn't a design anyone else can legally replicate.
It means that every reciprocating blade you've ever bought was a one-and-done cutting tool. This one isn't. When the engaged section of teeth dulls, you flip the blade end-to-end — same blade, fresh section of teeth — so the "flip" isn't a flaw, it's the feature.
Yes. The teeth run across the entire cutting edge in one continuous row, machined to the same specifications on the same production run. Whichever section of teeth is currently in the cutting zone performs identically to any other section.
Effectively twice as long, because you get a fresh section of un-worn teeth brought into the cutting zone after the flip. Real-world results vary based on material and cutting style, but most contractors report roughly half as many blade changes per job.
Compatibility
The saws and materials our blade is built for.
Yes. Both tangs on the D.E.B are built to the universal Sawzall spec, so the blade fits every major reciprocating saw on the market — Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Ryobi, Ridgid, Craftsman, Hilti, Metabo, Porter-Cable, Skil, Kobalt — in either orientation.
Yes. The blade is fully compatible with corded and cordless (battery-powered) reciprocating saws. The universal tang is the same on both types of saws.
Both. The universal reciprocating tang has been the industry standard for decades, so the blade fits older saws just as well as the latest cordless models.
The blade is built for the full range of job site materials: wood (including nail-embedded), sheet metal, conduit, cast iron, PVC, drywall, fiber cement, composites, fiberglass, and mixed-material demolition work.
Yes. The blade is built on contractor-grade bi-metal cutting steel and is designed to survive nail-embedded wood, mixed fasteners, and tear-out conditions. It's built to abuse, not to baby.
Yes. Any reciprocating saw with a standard tool-less or keyed chuck will accept and lock the blade in both orientations, whether you're loading it fresh or flipping it mid-job.
Pricing & Ordering
How to buy, what it costs, and what to expect.
The D.E.B is available in a 3-pack for $20 ($6.67/blade) and a 5-pack for $30 ($6.00/blade). Both packs can be purchased directly through our online store with secure checkout. Bulk, crew, and distributor pricing is custom-quoted — reach out through the contact page for a tailored quote.
The smallest pack is the 3-pack at $20, available to purchase directly online. From there, the per-blade price improves with the 5-pack at $30 ($6.00/blade). Crews, multi-site contractors, and distributors can contact us for the best volume pricing.
For the 3-pack or 5-pack, you can order directly through our online store — add to cart, check out securely, and we ship. For bulk orders, crew-scale quantities, or distributor terms, start with a request on the contact page and we'll send you custom pricing.
Yes. Bulk and crew pricing is baked into how we do business. If you're ordering for a team, a fleet of saws, or a multi-site operation, let us know your estimated volume and we'll structure pricing around it.
Yes. We work with regional tool distributors, contractor supply houses, and dealer networks. Reach out through the contact page and mark your inquiry as a distributor — we'll set up a conversation about terms.
For 3-pack and 5-pack orders, we accept all standard payment methods through secure online checkout — credit card, debit card, Shop Pay, and more. For bulk and distributor orders, payment terms (ACH, net terms, etc.) are arranged directly during the quoting process.
Shipping
How orders ship and how long it takes.
We ship nationwide within the United States. International shipping is evaluated on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you're outside the U.S.
Shipping speed depends on order size and destination. Pack orders placed through the online store typically ship within a few business days. Larger crew and distributor orders are scheduled around the buyer's timeline — exact lead time is confirmed during the quoting process.
Reach out on the contact page with your timeline and we'll let you know what's possible. Rush handling on smaller quantities is usually doable when inventory is in stock.
Yes. Every shipment includes tracking information sent by email once the order leaves our facility.
If a blade is defective out of the box or fails due to a manufacturing issue, contact us directly with the order details and we'll handle replacement or refund directly. Normal wear on both cutting edges is expected and is not considered a defect.
Technical
Specs, performance, and the engineering behind the blade.
The blade is built from contractor-grade bi-metal cutting steel — the same class of material used in premium single-edge reciprocating blades — engineered to handle aggressive cuts, mixed materials, and high-heat cutting conditions without losing sharpness.
Exact tooth pattern and TPI options are confirmed at time of quote, since we offer different configurations for different use cases. If you have a specific application (heavy demo, metal-heavy work, fine wood cuts), mention it in your pricing request and we'll match the right configuration.
Specific length options are confirmed during your pricing inquiry. Let us know what your crew typically runs and we'll point you to the right SKU.
No. Reciprocating saw blades dull from direct contact with the material being cut, not from vibration or proximity. The section of teeth away from the active cut stays factory-sharp until you flip the blade and bring it into the cutting zone.
No. Because the blade body is symmetrical end-to-end and both tangs are built to the identical universal spec, the saw clamps and drives the blade identically from either end. You won't feel a difference in cut aggressiveness, vibration, or balance.
Yes. The blade is fully rated for standard reciprocating action and for saws with orbital action settings. Tooth geometry is designed to handle the added cutting motion without premature wear.
Roughly twice the service life of a standard single-tang blade, because flipping end-to-end brings a fresh section of un-worn teeth into the cutting zone. Actual blade life depends on material (wood vs. metal vs. cast iron), cutting aggressiveness, and orbital mode use. Contractors typically report close to double the cuts of a comparable single-tang premium blade.
About the Company
Who we are and how we operate.
Moore Above Avg LLC is founded and owned by Duan Moore. The company operates as an American product company focused exclusively on the patented Duel Edge Reciprocating Saw Blade (D.E.B).
Yes. The Duel Edge Reciprocating Saw Blade (D.E.B) is built in the United States.
Right now, yes — and intentionally. The patented Duel Edge Reciprocating Saw Blade is our focus, and we're committed to making it the best blade on a contractor's truck before we expand into anything else.
You can reach us by phone at 443-608-1742, by email at mooreaboveavg121@gmail.com, or through the contact page. When you contact us, you're very likely talking to the founder directly — not a call center.
Yes. If you're a regional tool distributor, contractor supply house, or dealer who wants to stock the blade, reach out on the contact page and mark your inquiry as a distributor. We'll set up a call to talk terms.
Just ask.
If we didn't cover it above, send it through the contact page — or pick up the phone. You'll get a real answer from a real person, usually the founder, usually the same business day.
No call centers. No scripts. No sales pressure.
